Vending

Merchant-class characters (and their transcendent / 4th forms) can open a vending shop with the Pushcart skill: set prices on cart items and other players buy from you directly.

Autotrade

@autotrade keeps your vending (or buying) shop running after you log out. Your character stays in the world as an autotrade vendor until you log back in.

Set up the shop first, then type @autotrade — you'll be disconnected and the shop stays.
Log in normally to collect the zeny and close the shop.
Autotrade vendors don't take EXP or drops and can't be killed.
